Job description

Overview

Provide technical information to design and development packs, including measurements, block and construction details, to facilitate development sample preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead fit sessions from development sample to PP sample with the design and development team and ensure the product fit is consistent across all categories.
• Communicate clear and concise Development / fit / PP comments to vendors for bulk production.
• Work closely with the buying team to support the fit development process from a technical perspective.
• Calculate tentative fabric consumption.
• Manage wearer’s trials with the aim of improving fit & grading.
• Develop grade rules to match sizing requirements and prepare graded size charts for production to ensure a consistent fit across all sizes.
• Make corrections in pattern if there are any issues in fitting.
• Supplier management: maintain regular contact with suppliers and factories throughout production and address any technical issues to ensure shipment dates are achieved.
• Review production / shipment samples to confirm they adhere to all agreed standards of fit, quality, labelling and packaging.
• Review GPT report and take calls on commercial aspects with discussion of department head.

Qualifications

An ideal Fit Technologist should have at least 3 to 5 years of experience for Fit technician roles in retail office or such as pattern design and quality assurance experience at least 3 years.
