Job summary

Shangri-La Group Abu Dhabi is seeking a Rooms Controller Front Office to manage room inventory and allocations, ensuring optimal occupancy and high guest satisfaction. You will work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations and Revenue teams to align room assignments with VIP arrivals and special requests.

Proficiency in Opera PMS/Opera Cloud is essential, along with a guest-focused mindset and meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate room statuses and profiles in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certification in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 23 years of Front Office experience and at least 1 year as a Rooms Controller.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily room assignments and inventory to maximize occupancy and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals, long-stay guests, group arrivals and special room requests.
• Monitor room status discrepancies and liaise with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness.
• Work with Reservations, Revenue Management and Front Office to optimize room utilization and upgrade opportunities.
• Ensure guest preferences and loyalty program benefits are reflected in the PMS.
