Role Context
The Front Office Agent is responsible for delivering a smooth and professional guest journey from arrival through departure. The position combines reception duties, reservation verification, cashiering, guest assistance, service recovery, and coordination with resort departments. By processing transactions accurately, recognizing individual requirements, and responding promptly to requests, the agent helps protect guest satisfaction, financial controls, and the ultra-luxury service standards of Atlantis The Royal.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome arriving guests with professional, warm, and personalized service.
- Complete check-in procedures accurately and explain relevant resort facilities, services, and privileges.
- Verify reservations, identification, room allocation, payment arrangements, deposits, and special requests.
- Process check-outs efficiently and review guest accounts before final settlement.
- Handle cash, credit card, room charge, deposit, and foreign currency transactions according to approved procedures.
- Balance cashiering records and report discrepancies promptly.
- Provide accurate information about rooms, restaurants, attractions, transportation, wellness services, and resort activities.
- Recognize guest preferences and special requirements before assigning or preparing services.
- Assist guests with requests throughout their stay and ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate room readiness, luggage delivery, transportation, amenities, and special arrangements.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Services, Reservations, Guest Relations, Finance, and Security.
- Update guest profiles, registration details, preferences, requests, and service notes in Opera or the approved hotel system.
- Monitor arrivals, departures, room status, and outstanding Front Office actions during each shift.
- Resolve routine guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and practical solutions.
- Escalate complex complaints, billing disputes, security matters, and operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Support service recovery and confirm that corrective action meets guest expectations.
- Protect guest privacy, personal information, room access details, and payment data.
- Follow key control, identity verification, credit, cash handling, and security procedures.
- Prepare shift handovers with accurate information about pending requests and unresolved matters.
- Maintain a polished appearance and comply with Atlantis grooming standards.
- Remain calm and organized during high-volume arrivals, departures, and changing operational conditions.
- Support both daytime and overnight Front Office activities according to the assigned schedule.
- Promote suitable resort experiences and services based on guest interests.
- Contribute to Front Office quality, efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue targets.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Front Office experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Previous employment as a Receptionist, Front Office Agent, or Guest Service Agent.
- Practical experience using Opera or a comparable hotel reservation system.
- Strong understanding of check-in, check-out, room allocation, guest profiles, and cashiering.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in Russian, Arabic, Chinese, French, or German is advantageous.
- Genuine passion for guest service and personalized hospitality.
- Strong attention to reservation details, payment records, guest requests, and operational procedures.
- Able to process financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Confident handling several tasks while maintaining service quality.
- Professional, composed, and solution-focused during complaints or unexpected situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from different cultural backgrounds.
- Comfortable working independently and making appropriate operational decisions.
