Job summary

Novotel & ibis Balikpapan in Dubai is seeking an energetic F&B Attendant to join the All-Day Dining team. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a memorable dining experience from breakfast to dinner.

You will interact with guests, present menus, handle payments, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain cleanliness to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an F&B attendant or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail in order taking, food and beverage service, and table setup.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.
• Knowledge of different types of cuisine and basic food and beverage pairing.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and ability to operate a POS system.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of hygiene and safety regulations in a dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive at the restaurant
• Present menus to guests answer questions about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences
• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately ensuring proper plating and presentation
• Anticipate guests needs and promptly respond to requests for additional items or condiments
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests attending to their inquiries and resolving any concerns or complaints
• Monitor tables to ensure that guests have everything they need including refilling drinks and clearing plates
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other staff members to ensure smooth and timely service
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately following proper cash handling procedures
• Assist in setting up and cleaning dining areas including arranging tables setting up utensils and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift
