Job summary

Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du) is seeking an experienced engineer to provide fixed access and aggregation support across IP-connected networks. You will troubleshoot, configure, and document network elements while coordinating with vendors and planning teams for capacity upgrades.

The role requires CCNP, 7+ years of IP networking experience in telecom, and hands-on familiarity with multi-vendor devices.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in computer, electrical, network Engineering or IT (any telecom equivalent).
• CCNP certification required or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Unix and Infra Virtual Platforms as System Admin.
• Knowledge of security protocols and applying WAF and Load Balancing rules for application flows.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-time support and troubleshooting for Fixed Access and Aggregation domains, ensuring connectivity via IP.
• Escalate issues and engage vendors promptly, following SLAs and proper follow-up.
• Perform periodic analysis of performance reports to proactively prevent issues.
• Review device configurations to remove incorrect or unnecessary settings.
• Meet with service owners to understand problems and respond to queries.
• Handle daily Trouble Tickets per du policies and scope of work.
• Oversee reporting for capacity planning and upgrades of service delivery platforms and Data-Centers.
• Update RFOs and ensure recommendations are followed to avoid recurrences.
• Assist planning teams with network node integrations and ATP for redundancy.
• Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and documentation for troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with planning teams on capacity, upgrades and design issues.
• Conduct periodic health checks and ensure redundancy of network elements.
• Implement patches and updates to resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Review vendor documentation for new network elements or technologies.
• Ensure consistency of network configuration and change management.
• Coordinate changes with acceptance and keep knowledge base updated.
• Monitor vendor performance and manage vendor relationships.
• Develop technical reports and documentation.
• Prepare DR runbooks for crisis recovery.
