Mackenzie Jones Middle East is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments at customer sites in Abu Dhabi. You will train staff, manage software/hardware updates, and coordinate with the commercial team to ensure optimal system performance.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of field service experience with lab or diagnostic equipment, hands-on histology or pathology instrument exposure, and a strong customer-facing mindset with fluent English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of field service experience with lab or diagnostic equipment.
• Based in Abu Dhabi or able to relocate, with UAE driving license.

Responsabilidades

• Install, set up and commission laboratory instruments at customer sites.
• Plan routine maintenance and respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls.
• Diagnose and fix hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Train staff on day-to-day care and basic troubleshooting.
• Keep systems up to date with software and hardware updates.
• Log service work accurately and keep customers informed.
• Plan spare parts needs for supported instruments.
• Use remote and digital tools to support customers.
• Share technical insight with the commercial team.

Our client is an established healthcare and laboratory solutions company in the UAE, partnering with hospitals and labs across the country. As their service team grows in Abu Dhabi, they’re looking for a Field Service Engineer with strong technical skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up and commission laboratory instruments at customer sites
• Plan and carry out routine maintenance and respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls
• Diagnose and fix technical issues, including hardware, software and system connectivity
• Train laboratory staff on day-to-day care and basic troubleshooting of their instruments
• Keep systems up to date with the latest software and hardware improvements
• Log all service work accurately and keep customers informed
• Plan spare parts needs for the instruments you support
• Use remote and digital tools to support customers proactively
• Share technical insight with the commercial team

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of field service experience with laboratory or diagnostic equipment
• Hands-on experience with histology or pathology lab equipment, such as staining systems
• Experience with digital pathology or imaging systems is a strong plus
• Exposure to other lab disciplines, such as chemistry or immunology, is an advantage
• Comfortable with digital tools, remote support platforms and AI
• Excellent English and a confident, professional manner with customers
• Based in Abu Dhabi or able to relocate quickly, with a valid UAE driving licence
• Takes ownership, learns fast and stays calm under pressure
