Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Specialist based in Abu Dhabi to lead installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of capital medical equipment. The role involves on-site service, troubleshooting, and collaboration with local teams within the APS region.

You will be the primary contact for customers and the local commercial team for service/repair inquiries, with potential regional support across EMEA. Strong English skills and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

Biomedical bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant field service experience in capital medical devices.
Experience with electrosurgical units and operating room environments is required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute installations and commissioning of new equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance as per service manual checklist and test system functionality.
Attend breakdown calls and perform repairs and troubleshooting independently.
Provide testing and validation support and data to the Global Service organization.
Assist in technical support for users of complex systems including phone and remote support.
Collaborate with other field service engineers to troubleshoot activities.
Travel to sites to provide repair/installation support as a local team member.
