Job summary

Exceed IT Services seeks a hands-on IT Infrastructure Administrator to join a two-person resident team overseeing one of the largest estate sites. You will cover server and network operations, end-user AV and classroom support, and cross-cover responsibilities across 23 sites with 46 engineers, maintaining uptime and detailed infrastructure records.

The role requires expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, SCCM/Intune, and strong ITSM tooling.

Qualifications

Experience managing Windows Server estates at scale across multiple roles/modules.
Proficient in AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP administration.
Familiarity with SCCM/Intune imaging and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide extended-hours coverage through shift rotation with the paired engineer.
Operate a domain split for server/network vs end-user AV/classroom support.
Manage large device estates and computer labs including refresh and imaging programmes.
Administer the local server room including Windows Server estate, backups, UPS, patching and capacity monitoring.
Support large-scale examination delivery with multi-lab sessions and standby cover.
Maintain site runbooks, network documentation and infrastructure records.
Coordinate vendor, OEM and logistics activities within the estate.
Act as on-site incident commander during major incidents and produce service reporting.
