WESTERN BEACH GEN CONTRACTING CO - SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP L.L.C in Abu Dhabi seeks a capable Civil Engineer to oversee site activities, review drawings, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and ensure compliance with standards and safety on the project.

You will ensure QA/QC, monitor progress, manage RFIs, and prepare reports and documentation throughout the handover process.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and docs.
• Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review civil engineering drawings, designs, specifications and calculations.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure work meets approved drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, architects, MEP teams and project management.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, project specs, codes and authority requirements.
• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship and coordinate with QA QC team.
• Review and resolve technical issues, RFIs, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Monitor project progress against the approved programme and milestones.
• Assist with quantity measurements, BOQs, material requirements and cost control.
• Coordinate surveying, setting-out, levels and site measurements.
• Identify construction problems and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
• Ensure proper implementation of health, safety and environmental requirements on site.
• Prepare and maintain site reports, inspection records, progress reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed as per contractual requirements.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities.
• Review as-built drawings and ensure project documentation is completed before handover.
