Overview

The Female Consultant Breast Surgeon in Dubai is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced physician specializing in benign and malignant breast disease, breast cancer surgery, oncoplastic procedures, and multidisciplinary breast care. This consultant‑level surgeon will provide accurate diagnosis, advanced surgical treatment, compassionate patient counseling, long‑term surveillance, and coordinated care for women requiring specialist breast health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast diseases, including breast lumps, breast pain, nipple discharge, breast infections, high‑risk lesions, and breast cancer.
  • Conduct comprehensive breast assessments using clinical examination, patient history, imaging review, biopsy results, pathology findings, and risk evaluation.
  • Perform breast‑conserving surgery, lumpectomy, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary lymph node dissection, and other breast surgical procedures.
  • Apply oncoplastic surgical techniques where appropriate to support oncological safety and improved cosmetic outcomes.
  • Evaluate patients with abnormal mammography, ultrasound, MRI findings, palpable masses, suspicious lesions, inflammatory symptoms, and family‑risk concerns.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer meetings to support individualized treatment planning and coordinated clinical decisions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists during image‑guided biopsy planning, localization procedures, diagnostic reviews, and pre‑operative mapping.
  • Coordinate care with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, reconstructive surgeons, pathologists, genetic counselors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Provide pre‑operative counseling, explain surgical options, discuss risks and expected outcomes, obtain informed consent, and prepare patients for recovery.
  • Manage post‑operative follow‑up, wound review, complication monitoring, pathology discussion, referral coordination, and long‑term breast surveillance.
  • Educate patients on breast cancer screening, early detection, preventive strategies, treatment choices, self‑awareness, and follow‑up requirements.
  • Maintain accurate consultation notes, operative reports, consent documentation, pathology reviews, care plans, surveillance records, and follow‑up reports in accordance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research activity, continuing medical education, and departmental training programs.
  • Mentor junior physicians and support education for clinical teams involved in breast surgery and breast disease management.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control standards, surgical safety protocols, patient confidentiality, ethical medical practice, and evidence‑based breast care.
Ideal Profile
  • Medical Degree such as MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a recognized Residency in General Surgery.
  • Fellowship or subspecialty training in Breast Surgery, Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, or Surgical Oncology with a focus on breast diseases.
  • Board Certification or equivalent qualification in General Surgery.
  • DHA Eligibility Letter, valid DHA License, or eligibility for Consultant licensure in Dubai.
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of post‑specialization experience as a Consultant Breast Surgeon.
  • Extensive experience in breast cancer surgery, benign breast disease management, sentinel node procedures, mastectomy, breast‑conserving surgery, and oncoplastic surgical techniques.
  • Experience in a dedicated breast unit, tertiary care hospital, cancer center, or internationally accredited healthcare institution is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment in breast imaging review, biopsy interpretation, surgical decision‑making, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, patient counseling, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to support patients through sensitive diagnoses with clarity, dignity, confidentiality, and compassion.
