Job summary

General Manager - Offshore Ship Management based in the Middle East will lead the company’s overall operations, setting strategic direction and ensuring safe, compliant and profitable vessel performance.

You will drive growth through client engagement, develop key relationships with owners and charterers, and provide strong leadership to senior teams across marine operations, technical management, HSEQ, and business development.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in ship management or offshore vessel operations.
• Strong offshore maritime background preferred.
• Proven track record in business development and client management.
• Knowledge of technical, operational, and HSEQ requirements in the maritime sector.
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving organisational growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations and strategic direction of the company.
• Drive business growth through client engagement, commercial development and identifying new opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vessel owners, charterers and key industry stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and direction to senior management across operational and support functions.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental compliance and operational performance.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s management systems.
• Support commercial decision‑making and contribute to fleet utilisation and profitability.
• Chair management review meetings and lead emergency response activities when required.
• Ensure the organisation is appropriately resourced to meet operational and commercial objectives.
