Job summary

DP World, based at Jebel Ali Operations, is seeking a Marine Manager to oversee Maritime Solutions tugs, pilot boats, and mooring operations in the UAE. You will manage day-to-day operations, long-term improvements, and maintain client relationships to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services in line with contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Master STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency - Class 1 or equivalent engineer certification with operations experience in tugs.
• Substantial port marine operations experience in a shore-based management role (10+ years).
• Experience in operational management of vessels as fleet manager or similar senior position.
• 5+ years in technical management of vessels as fleet manager or similar.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day and long-term operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions vessels (tugs, pilot boats, mooring).
• Maintain fleet readiness, surveys, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop vessel programs to optimize crewing and maintenance.
• Lead staff training and development; manage performance.
• Coordinate with Technical teams on docking, upgrades, and new projects.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and cost control for operations.
