Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• A culinary degree or certificate is preferred but not necessary
• Good organizational skills and the ability to delegate tasks effectively
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Creating innovative menus that are both appealing and cost effective for customers.
• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety.
• Planning and costing menus as well as preparing high-quality dishes from start to finish.
• Supervising junior staff while ensuring all recipes are followed correctly.
• Monitoring portion control and adjusting orders accordingly.
• Keeping up with current culinary trends whilst ensuring all dishes adhere to company standards
