Job summary

Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina in Dubai, UAE, is hiring a Banquet Waiter to join our events team. The role requires delivering professional food and beverage service for banquets, meetings, weddings, and private functions, while upholding IHG standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar role at 4- or 5-star hotels, with strong communication and the ability to work with colleagues from diverse cultures. You will support event setup, service, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar four- or five-star hotel role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, ability to work with culturally diverse teams.
• Commitment to high service standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests warmly and provide courteous, professional service throughout the event.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linen, glassware, cutlery and other required equipment.
• Serve food and beverages to Guests professionally and efficiently in accordance with hotel service standards.
• Familiarize yourself with banquet event orders, menus, function timings and guest requirements before the start of each event.
• Ensure tables and service areas are clean, organized and properly prepared before Guests arrive.
• Provide water, beverages, bread, condiments and other service items as required during the function.
• Clear used plates, glasses and cutlery promptly and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
• Must be able to carry natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive and attend to special Guest needs and requests.
• Observant to Guests' needs throughout the banquet or event experience to ensure they receive high quality service.
• Coordinate closely with the Banquet Supervisor, kitchen team and other service colleagues to ensure smooth and timely food and beverage service.
• Follow all sanitation, hygiene, food safety and alcohol control policies and procedures.
• Handle banquet equipment, glassware, crockery and service items carefully to minimize damage and breakage.
• Assist with replenishing buffet stations, beverage stations and service areas whenever required.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and high standard of personal grooming at all times.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
