Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive, in partnership with BYD, is seeking an EV Service Technician in Dubai to diagnose, maintain and repair BYD electric vehicles, while upholding safety, quality and exceptional customer service.

You will join the BYD Aftersales Retail Team within Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility to work with cutting‑edge EV technology, perform high‑voltage diagnostics, follow manufacturer guidelines, and contribute to a long‑term career in the UAE’s fast‑growing EV sector.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in automotive repair.
• 2–3 years as automotive/EV technician.
• Experience with EV or hybrid vehicles preferred.
• HV certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on BYD EVs
• Diagnose EV systems including high-voltage components and battery systems
• Carry out repairs per manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards
• Complete repairs right the first time, minimize downtime
• Perform vehicle inspections and EVC reporting
• Follow HV safety procedures and 5S standards
• Ensure efficient use of parts and tools
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to deliver service
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV tech
