Phoenician Technical Services in Dubai is seeking an Estimation Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for landscaping projects, ensuring alignment with drawings, specs, and tender requirements.

The ideal candidate will review documents, perform detailed take-offs for softscape, hardscape, irrigation, and related infra, and coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to deliver competitive, on-time

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil/mechanical eng, QS or related field.
• 2–3 years UAE experience in estimation and tendering for landscaping, irrigation, or construction.
• Knowledge of softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems and landscape construction materials.
• Ability to read landscape drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with estimation software is a plus.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.

Phoenician Technical Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team in Dubai.

Full Time | Immediate Joining

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for landscaping projects, ensuring all project costs are calculated in accordance with drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.


• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, and related landscape infrastructure.


• Calculate quantities and costs for plants, trees, turf, soil, paving, kerbstones, decking, pergolas, and other landscaping materials.


• Estimate costs for irrigation networks, including pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, controllers, and related equipment.


• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for materials, equipment, plants, and services.


• Prepare rate analyses for materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and installation works.


• Calculate direct and indirect costs, overheads, contingencies, and profit margins.


• Prepare and review BOQs, tender pricing sheets, commercial proposals, and cost breakdowns.


• Coordinate with technical, design, procurement, and project teams to clarify requirements and estimation details.


• Conduct site visits, when required, to assess site conditions, access, existing services, and other cost-related factors.


• Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks in tender documents and seek clarification where necessary.


• Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.


• Ensure tender submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within specified deadlines.


• Maintain updated records of supplier quotations, material rates, labor costs, and historical project costs.


• Prepare variation quotations, revised estimates, and additional work cost proposals.


• Support budget preparation, cost monitoring, and cost control activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sdegree or diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, QuantitySurveying, or a related field.


• Relevant 2to 3 years of UAE experience in estimation and tendering for landscaping,irrigation, or construction projects.


• Knowledgeof softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, and landscape constructionmaterials.


• Ability toread and interpret landscape drawings, irrigation layouts, BOQs, and technicalspecifications.


• Experiencein quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost calculations, and tenderpreparation.


• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with estimation or quantitytake-off software is an advantage.


• Knowledgeof supplier quotations, subcontractor pricing, and material procurementprocedures.


• Strongnumerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Goodcommunication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
