Job summary

Perfect Technical and Landscaping LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Estimator to review tender documents, prepare quantity take-offs for landscaping, irrigation, hardscape and related works, and develop detailed cost estimates based on drawings and specs.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management background with 4–8 years of estimation experience in landscaping or construction, and is proficient in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering within landscaping or construction.
• Strong experience in landscape estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis.
• Experience with landscaping projects involving softscape, hardscape, irrigation, planting, water features, swimming pools, and external works is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for landscaping, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, planting, water features, and related civil works.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Analyze material, manpower, equipment, subcontractor, and other project-related costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare comparison statements for materials, suppliers, and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop detailed rate analysis for landscaping and external works activities.
• Prepare tender pricing, commercial proposals, and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Review project drawings and identify discrepancies, omissions, scope gaps, and potential cost impacts.
• Coordinate with the Design, Planning, Procurement, Project, and Commercial teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
• Maintain a database of current material, plant, manpower, subcontractor, and supplier rates.
• Assist in preparing value engineering proposals and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare preliminary estimates and budgets for new projects.
• Review variations, additional works, and revised quantities and provide cost estimates as required.
• Support the preparation of tender submissions within required deadlines.
• Participate in tender clarification meetings and respond to commercial queries.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and in accordance with project specifications and company pricing procedures.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, rate analyses, tender documents, and supporting calculations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering within the landscaping or construction industry.

• Strong experience in landscape estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis.

• Experience with landscaping projects involving softscape, hardscape, irrigation, planting, water features, swimming pools, and external works is highly preferred.

• UAE/Dubai experience with a landscaping contractor is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, plants, irrigation systems, paving, kerbstones, outdoor structures, and associated civil works.

• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; experience with estimation/QS software is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of supplier and subcontractor market rates in the UAE.

• Ability to prepare competitive and commercially accurate bids within tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently and under pressure.
