Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi hires a senior asset integrity leader to drive RBI and FFS programs across client-operated assets. You will develop strategies, assess risks, and optimize inspection plans with extensive industry experience in oil, gas, and petrochemicals.

The role demands strong leadership, technical writing, stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering integrity improvements in multidisciplinary teams. Experience in the Middle East is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy or related discipline.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• API 571 and API 580 certifications preferred.
• API 510 API 570 and/or API 653 certifications preferred.
• ISO 55001 Asset Management awareness training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of asset integrity management programmes for client operating assets.
• Provide specialist technical expertise in RBI, FFS, asset life assessment and integrity management.
• Lead development and enhancement of RBI methodologies and risk models.
• Support implementation of Integrity Operating Windows (IOW) programmes.
• Perform and review Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments per recognized industry standards.
• Lead technical studies including RCA, life extension studies and integrity assessments.
• Facilitate technical workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions with client personnel.
• Review degradation mechanisms, risk assessments and inspection strategies for fixed equipment and piping assets.
• Develop technical reports, procedures, manuals and engineering recommendations.
• Mentor and guide engineers and integrity personnel.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

• Minimum 15 years experience in integrity engineering inspection or asset integrity management within oil and gas petrochemical or related process industries including at least 5 years in a specialist or technical authority role


• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing integrity management frameworks risk assessment methodologies and inspection strategies


• Extensive experience delivering Risk-Based Inspection RBI programmes and integrity assessments


• Practical experience conducting or reviewing Fitness-for-Service FFS assessments in accordance with API 579


• Demonstrated experience developing Integrity Operating Windows IOW and inspection planning strategies


• Strong understanding of degradation mechanisms affecting pressure equipment piping systems and infrastructure assets


• Familiarity with major regional operators standards procedures and asset integrity practices is highly desirable


• Previous experience supporting National Oil Companies NOCs major international operators or large operating assets in the Middle East preferred


• Excellent technical writing presentation and stakeholder management skills
