Environmental Engineer - Operations Compliance in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is an Oil and Energy opportunity focused on environmental performance, emissions control, ISO 14001 implementation, waste management, effluent monitoring and plant reliability. ADNOC Group is hiring an experienced engineering professional to monitor operational environmental performance, reduce flaring and emissions, strengthen compliance systems and provide technical guidance across complex gas, refining and petrochemical operations.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor 's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline. At least 8 years of experience within oil refining, gas processing or petrochemical operations is required, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior supervisory role.
Strong experience working with Distributed Control Systems is essential, together with detailed knowledge of plant operating procedures, standing instructions and operational control requirements. Candidates should have practical exposure to environmental monitoring, flaring and emissions management, process troubleshooting, effluent control and industrial waste management.
Experience leading or contributing to HAZOP, HAZID, Root Cause Analysis, SIL and risk assessment activities is highly valuable. The role requires proven analytical capability, sound decision-making and the ability to coordinate effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE and external technical specialists. Strong IT capability, clear communication skills and good command of written and spoken English are required.
