  • Maintain accurate energy efficiency calculations that allow consistent comparison of actual performance against approved targets.
  • Analyse operating and project energy data to identify efficiency trends, abnormal consumption, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare recommendations and technical reports explaining energy performance results to management and relevant operational teams.
  • Identify deviations from approved energy efficiency expectations involving equipment, operating conditions, projects, or work activities.
  • Advise responsible teams on corrective actions needed to restore energy performance or reduce inefficient consumption.
  • Develop appropriate energy limits, criteria, and performance standards for assets, operating processes, and supporting activities.
  • Establish energy efficiency requirements covering transportation, material handling, machining, equipment operation, and other relevant industrial activities.
  • Review energy criteria for existing equipment and proposed projects to ensure efficiency requirements are considered during technical decision-making.
  • Design standardized energy reports, calculation sheets, forms, templates, and monitoring records.
  • Maintain energy performance databases and records so historical and current information remains readily available for analysis.
  • Ensure energy documentation is updated accurately and consistently across applicable facilities and functions.
  • Conduct energy audits to assess compliance with approved requirements and identify potential efficiency improvements.
  • Document audit findings and support follow-up of corrective actions with responsible operational teams.

  • Coordinate energy management updates between operations, engineering, environmental, project, and other relevant teams.
  • Communicate energy performance objectives and targets to operational focal points and process trainers.
  • Explain how operating behaviour, equipment practices, and day-to-day activities influence energy consumption and efficiency results.
  • Develop awareness communications covering energy objectives, consumption targets, efficiency initiatives, and improvement priorities.
  • Work jointly with training functions to develop practical energy management training materials.
  • Contribute to preparation and implementation of annual energy efficiency training programs.
  • Support operating personnel in understanding energy balances, consumption patterns, and opportunities for energy conservation.
  • Review energy performance following operational changes or modifications to determine whether expected efficiency benefits have been achieved.
  • Contribute technical information to environmental, sustainability, operational performance, and management reporting where required.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying new analytical methods, monitoring practices, and operational measures that can reduce energy consumption.
