Confidential in Dubai seeks an Engineering Consultant to provide technical and advisory support for planning, design, execution, supervision, and evaluation of engineering projects.

You will ensure projects are technically sound, cost-effective, compliant with standards, regulations, and safety requirements, while advising on CAPEX/OPEX and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Architectural/Mechanical)
• Engineering license or accreditation from official authority
• Strong experience managing major engineering/construction projects
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and construction regulations

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate technical feasibility studies for construction, development, and expansion projects.
• Identify technical, operational, and financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Provide guidance on CAPEX and OPEX to support efficient project investment and cost management.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and submissions for compliance with codes and standards.

Job Title: Engineering Consultant

Role Overview

The Engineering Consultant provides technical and advisory support for the planning, design, execution, supervision, and evaluation of engineering projects. The role ensures projects are technically sound, cost-effective, operationally efficient, and compliant with applicable engineering standards, regulations, safety requirements, and organizational objectives.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in:
• Civil Engineering
• Architectural Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Recognized Engineering Consultant licence / professional accreditation from the relevant official engineering authority, regulatory body, or professional association.
• Strong practical experience in managing, supervising, or advising on major engineering and construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, construction regulations, technical codes, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate technical feasibility studies for construction, development, and expansion projects.
• Identify technical, operational, and financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Provide guidance on CAPEX and OPEX to support efficient project investment and cost management.

Design & Technical Review

• Review engineering designs, drawings, and technical submissions from contractors and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local and international engineering codes, standards, safety, and security requirements.
• Recommend practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical scopes, specifications, and RFP/tender documentation.
• Participate in technical and commercial evaluation of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
• Provide technical advice on engineering contracts, disputes, variation orders, and project changes.

Project Supervision & Quality

• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against approved schedules, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Monitor contractor and consultant performance and resolve technical issues affecting project delivery.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, and engineering activities meet required quality and compliance standards.

Project Completion & Handover

• Review preliminary and final handover documentation.
• Verify completion of technical and contractual requirements.
• Support final inspections, project close-out, and technical acceptance.

Technical Advisory & Stakeholder Management

• Provide specialist engineering advice to management and key stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Coordinate effectively with project owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Doctorate in a relevant discipline.
• PMP certification.
• Certifications related to sustainability, asset management, or relevant engineering disciplines..
