Job summary

Confidential Careers seeks an experienced Technical Manager to support the senior management team of a leading UAE construction and development organization. The role covers main contractor and PMC/consultancy sides, with broad exposure to design, engineering, project execution and stakeholder management.

You will guide technical decisions, coordinate with consultants and contractors, monitor progress and ensure projects meet standards, deadlines and value engineering goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and significant construction industry experience.
• Proven ability to coordinate across design, engineering and construction disciplines.
• Fluency in English and strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to senior management across construction projects and developments.
• Review and monitor design, engineering and construction-related matters.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, project teams and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper coordination between Architectural, Supervision, Civil, Infrastructure and MEP disciplines.
• Identify technical risks and provide practical solutions to avoid delays and project issues.
• Monitor construction progress and support project teams in resolving critical execution matters.
• Review major technical issues and provide clear recommendations to senior management.
• Support the development and implementation of technical processes and standards.
• Monitor project performance and identify areas requiring corrective or recovery action.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to support the senior management team of a leading construction and development organization in the UAE.

The role is suited to a strong construction professional with experience on both the main contractor and PMC/consultancy sides, with a broad understanding of construction, design, engineering, project execution, technical coordination, and stakeholder management.

The successful individual will work closely with senior management and provide technical guidance across projects, helping identify key technical issues, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to senior management across construction projects and developments.
• Review and monitor design, engineering and construction-related matters.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, project teams and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper coordination between Architectural , Supervision, Civil, Infrastructure , and MEP disciplines.
• Identify technical risks and provide practical solutions to avoid delays and project issues.
• Monitor construction progress and support project teams in resolving critical execution matters.
• Review technical changes, variations and other project-related matters and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews where required.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors on design and construction issues.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations.
• Support project teams during inspections, testing, commissioning and handover stages.
• Review major technical issues and provide clear recommendations to senior management.
• Support the development and implementation of technical processes and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Architecture.
• 15 to 25 years of experience within the construction and development industry.
• Proven experience working with both main contractors and PMC/consultancy organizations.
• Strong understanding of complete construction project delivery from design through execution and handover.
• Good knowledge of Architectural , Supervision, Civil, Infrastructure and MEP.
• Strong experience in design review, technical coordination and construction execution.
• Experience dealing with consultants, contractors, clients and government authorities.
• Good understanding of project planning, contracts, variations, claims and commercial impact.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, HSE and technical standards.
• Experience in large-scale residential, high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality or commercial developments will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to work with senior management and provide practical technical recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant construction/project management systems.
• Valid UAE driving license will be an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required.
