Job summary

ADNOC Abu Dhabi UAE is looking for an experienced Engineer – Project Engineering to support multidisciplinary design activities and project engineering coordination for gas extraction and processing assets. The role requires a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience and expertise in Front End Engineering and Design packages.

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and involves collaboration across engineering disciplines to improve internal processes while ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

Qualifications

Engineer – Project Engineering in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is an Oil and Energy opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who can support multidisciplinary design activities, Front End Engineering and Design packages, project engineering coordination, and technical improvement initiatives for gas extraction and processing assets.

Salary: 18,000 - 28,000 monthly (estimated; confirm with employer)

Responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary engineering activities related to the design, development, and improvement of oil and gas assets and facilities.
• Contribute to approved department or section performance objectives in line with the company performance framework.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and improving Front End Engineering and Design packages for assigned projects.
• Apply sound engineering concepts to support facility design, project engineering reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Use knowledge of gas extraction and processing plant operations to support practical and reliable engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with relevant engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements, technical inputs, and deliverables are properly aligned.
• Support project management activities by contributing to planning, scheduling, coordination, technical checking, and progress follow‑up.
• Review engineering information for consistency with applicable legislation, regulations, company standards, and project requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal engineering processes against best practices and industry standards.
• Design and implement new tools, methods, and techniques that improve operational process quality and efficiency.
• Support intelligent solutions for engineering challenges affecting the function, project delivery, or operational performance.
• Apply HSE principles during engineering activities to ensure design and project decisions support safe operations.
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, legislation, sustainability guidelines, and ADNOC HSE Standards.
• Provide inputs for MIS reports, technical updates, progress reports, and management information required by company leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve engineering efficiency, project quality, and operational reliability.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering multidisciplinary functions for the design of assets and facilities.
• Exposure to the preparation, review, or coordination of Front End Engineering and Design packages.
• Knowledge of gas extraction and processing plant operations.
• Understanding of production engineering principles and their application in oil and gas facilities.
• Good knowledge of project management practices, engineering coordination, and technical delivery requirements.
• Strong engineering concepts with practical FEED experience.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations relevant to project engineering.
• Understanding of HSE principles and their application within the Oil and Energy industry.
• Ability to support performance objectives, internal process improvement, and technical reporting requirements.
• Strong planning, coordination, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Professional qualification in Project Management such as PMP is preferred.
