Job summary

Responsibilities

• As tenders are received, assess type and prioritize with the Estimation Manager.

• Cross-check quantity take-offs and pricing with proper specs.
• Prepare estimates including cost comparison with supplier quotes and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements when quoting tenders.
• Prepare reports outlining non-quantifiable points for supervisor review.
• File BOQ and submit to client; assist Estimation Manager with offer letters and schedules.
• Study tender amendments and incorporate client feedback where applicable.

• Conduct site inspections for tender understanding and risk assessment; ensure quality standards.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• As the tenders are received, assess the type of tender, research on the client and closing date of tender to determine prioritization of all aspects in coordination with Estimation Manager.
• Further closely review the tender documents assessing scope, risks involved, tender complexity etc and provide feedback to the Estimation Manager.
• Evaluate tender documents, drawings, specifications and schedules. Identifying the missing information and floating enquiries to consultant/Main Contractors/Suppliers.
• Cross check the quantity take off from juniors and pricing the job with proper specifications.
• Preparation of estimate including cost comparison in coordination with the supplier quotes and procurement team.
• Ensure knowledge and implementation of local authority requirements while quoting tenders.
• Preparation of reports outlining the points not quantifiable under the scope of work for the supervisor review.
• Filing the BOQ maintaining compliance to specifics and drawings and submitting the same to the client.
• Assist the Estimation Manager in compiling offer letter, tender schedule, program, giving qualifications and other items required by the tender.
• Study and recommend tender amendments where applicable utilizing client feedback on submitted tender and otherwise.
• Preparation of budget on awarded job for the execution team (Purchase, procurement and projects) in coordination with Estimation Manager.
• Regular feedback one in 2 months on ongoing projects in terms of budgets and actual project execution on the site.
• Participate in Internal audits.
• Conduct site inspections for tender understanding, analysis of conditions assessment of risk and identification of activities that may or may not be shown in the tender documents.
• Ensure and implement quality standards in standard estimation procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

BE in Electrical

7+ Years relevant experience. Knowledge of the use of 'First Principles Estimating' is essential. Sound working knowledge in MS office, Knowledge of estimation software's is a plus.
