Job summary

Latinem in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks an Estimation Manager to lead the tendering and estimation processes for MEP projects. You will review resources, budgets, quantities, risks, and commercial conditions to prepare competitive, compliant bids for main contractors.

You should hold a BE in Electrical/Mechanical with 15+ years of relevant estimating and site experience, and be proficient in MS Office and First Principles Estimating.

Qualifications

• BE in Electrical / Mechanical required.
• Minimum 15 years in estimating with site-based experience.
• Knowledge of First Principles Estimating essential.
• Sound working knowledge in MS Office; estimation software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initial review of resource requirements, budget, quantity estimations, risks, and conditions per contract.
• Lead tender preparation from start to finish and present to Main Contractor.
• Coordinate handover meetings with project team and provide project briefing.
• Prepare tenders and analyses for onward transfer to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, QA, and company standards; support procurement and reporting.

JOB PURPOSE

To study research analyse and complete estimation process by taking into consideration all the commercial and regional aspects and succeed in the contract document in order to secure profitable business for the Company To accurately understand manage price and report on MEP Scope 3

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Description Initial review of resource requirement budget quantity estimations risks special conditions and the like in accordance with procedure set out in the company Contract document review IFC document review in conjunction with the commercial and planning department Responsible for Tender preparation from start to finish including presentation and subsequent submission to Main Contractor Assigning works monitoring the staff immediately working under him On award of project co-ordinate and conduct Handover meeting with the project team providing details briefing of about the project Compiling resources and other tender analysis information and summaries for onward transfer to relevant project team members As necessary provide support and respond to queries made by project team personnel with regards to pricing and contract condition Pricing change orders VOs if required Perform all activities in compliance with the Company Health Safety amp Environmental Management System and Quality System Ensure estimation team is following DEWA FEWA ADDC NFPA UAE Fire Safety Code ASHREA BS Standards Participate in internal audits and ensure any finding to be closed within the stipulated time frame Prepare Queries clarifications to Clients Consultants Consult and evaluation quotations with Clients customers vendors official of other departments and or site foremen and formulate estimates and resolve issues Prepare budget sheets on award jobs for the execution team Purchase procurement amp Project team Responsible to prepare reports status for all running projects where EM involved Responsible to update the tender submission to Main Contractor progress to Vice President on weekly basis Responsible to prepare technical submittal as per project requirement as and when required Responsible to coordinate with Consultant for Technical submittal approvalResponsible to communicate coordinate with Procurement Department after technical submittal approval Any other additional works as and when required as advised by Vice President
