Job summary

Star Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for on-site work in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive tasks within a steel plant environment.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in the steel industry. Duties include safety compliance, documentation, and assisting during shutdowns.

Qualifications

5 years' experience in steel industry with Electrical & Automation Maintenance.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience in electrical maintenance in heavy industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the electrical maintenance team in routine maintenance activities.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment safely.
Inspect electrical panels, motors, cables, switches and related equipment.
Report abnormal conditions such as overheating or faults to supervisors.
Support inspection and maintenance of AC/DC motors and related components.
Assist with motor replacement, alignment and connection activities.
Support fault finding using electrical testing instruments and troubleshoot motors, cables, MCCs and drives.
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and document observations.
Follow all electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements, including LOTO and Permit-to-Work.
Maintain basic maintenance records and report defects and spare requirements.
Assist during planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
