Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi is seeking a mechanical maintenance technician for finishing operations. You will perform maintenance and overhauling activities in the Finishing Section with emphasis on safety and quality, supporting shutdowns and routine upkeep.

Mandatory ITI Mechanical Fitter plus experience in steel plants are preferred. You will work in an industrial workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, oil, and heat, collaborating with Sr. Technician and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled corrective maintenance and major repairs to optimize production and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot during shutdowns and identify root causes for corrective actions.
• Attend mechanical maintenance issues during plant shutdowns and report abnormalities.
• Ensure availability of required tools and tackles.
• Inspect equipment for compliance with safety standards during maintenance.
• Assist Sr. Technician – Finishing and act as Sr. Technician when needed.
• Follow maintenance standards for Workshop – Finishing.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies during activities.
