Job summary
Star Services in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for steel making plants. You will oversee shutdowns, plan maintenance, and lead technicians, ensuring safety and timely delivery of activities.
The role requires 5+ years in steelmaking, a Diploma or Bachelor's, and strong supervision skills. Responsibilities include coordinating tools, spares, CMMS/SAP updates, and ensuring HSE compliance on all tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in steel industry, steel making plant.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
- Experience leading shutdowns and major maintenance.
- Knowledge of HSE, LOTO and PTW procedures.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planned plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
- Lead technicians and fitters during shutdown jobs.
- Ensure tools, tackles, manpower and spare parts are available.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and within the planned schedule.
- Allocate daily maintenance activities to Technicians, Fitters and helpers.
- Supervise contractor manpower where applicable.
- Verify the quality of completed maintenance work.
- Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and fitters.
- Conduct shift handover and communicate pending maintenance activities.
- Update maintenance activities in CMMS/SAP where applicable.
- Maintain shift maintenance records and report breakdowns.
