Job summary

STAR SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Shift Electrical Technician for a steel plant in Abu Dhabi. The role requires expertise in electrical maintenance within steel melting and billet casting environments, with strong planning, supervision, and safety focus.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, and substantial hands-on experience with MV equipment, PLCs, drives, and SAP-based CMMS. UAE familiarity and safety compliance are valued traits.

Qualifications

Diploma in Engineering or Engineering degree is required.
5 years of electrical maintenance experience in steel plants for Diploma holders; 8 years for Trade Certificate holders.
Experience with safety systems and knowledge of steel melting/billet casting processes.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute electrical maintenance per safety rules and work orders.
Analyze shift activities with supervisors to prevent line stoppages and improve service.
Supervise and train team members to ensure skill development and safety.
Provide technical input to resolve major maintenance problems and minimize downtime.
Assist in spare parts management and maintenance documentation.
Coordinate production shutdowns and maintenance planning with production.
Input job details into CMMS to track performance trends and timely completion.
