Job summary

RAYZ Creations Contracting LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and review electrical systems for MEP projects in Dubai. Responsibilities include supervising installations, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical systems for MEP projects including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and earthing systems.
• Prepare electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing.
• Develop and review shop drawings, layouts, and as‑built drawings.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings including power distribution layouts, cable routing and tray layouts, earthing and lightning protection drawings, single line diagrams (SLD), panel board layouts and schematics.
• Develop and modify 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and BIM platforms.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Supervise on‑site electrical installations and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC) and international standards.
• Review material submittals, technical datasheets, and method statements.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and coordination meetings.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Power Distribution Systems (LV/MV), Lighting Design and Controls, ELV Systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Data, Access Control), Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and Revit MEP (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and layout drawings.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, BS, and local authority regulations (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC).
