Job summary

Archcorp Architectural Engineering in the United Arab Emirates seeks an Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in building services and MEP projects. You will design, coordinate and prepare electrical systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use and high-rise developments in line with UAE authority regulations and international standards.

The role requires 3–8 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in electrical design for building services/MEP projects.
• Experience in UAE/GCC preferred; residential towers, villas and mixed-use developments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design calculations, layouts and reports for building projects.
• Design and coordinate small power, earthing, lighting and ELV systems.
• Create load schedules and single-line diagrams.
• Perform load estimation and voltage drop calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing and fire-protection teams.
• Prepare authority submission drawings and documents.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and technical specs; attend coordination meetings.

Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer with experience in building services and MEP consultancy projects in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and preparation of electrical systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise developments in accordance with UAE authority regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design calculations, layouts, and technical reports for building projects.
• Design and coordinate:
• Small power systems
• Earthing & lightning protection systems
• ELV systems
• Load schedules and single line diagrams
• Perform electrical load estimation and voltage drop calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection teams.
• Prepare authority submission drawings and documents.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements such as:
• Dubai Electricity and Water Authority
• Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Support project execution and site technical clarifications when required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in electrical design for building services / MEP projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in residential towers, villas, commercial buildings, and mixed-use developments is an advantage.
