L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking an EHS professional for a site-based role in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. You will ensure compliance with local and international regulations, conduct risk assessments, audits, and training to promote a safety-first culture among employees and contractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least 5 years of EHS experience (renewables or construction), and NEBOSH certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in renewable energy or construction.
• NEBOSH certification mandatory.
• Ground-mounted Solar PV experience preferred, particularly in the Middle East.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with applicable local, national and international EHS regulations and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and identify mitigation measures.
• Carry out regular site inspections and EHS audits.
• Conduct EHS training and toolbox talks for site personnel and contractors.
• Monitor compliance with HSE requirements and promote a safety-first culture.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for the project site.
• Prepare regular EHS performance reports for the Project Manager and EHS Manager.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and regulatory bodies on EHS matters.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety requirements at the project site implementing EHS programs conducting inspections and promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors
