Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Dubai seeks a seasoned HSE Lead to align HSSE goals with project objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive risk mitigation across power/desalination and O&G construction initiatives. The role requires leadership in investigations, training, and emergency planning, with a focus on fostering a strong safety culture on site.

The candidate should hold NEBOSH Diploma and a technical/Bachelor’s degree, with GCC experience and PV project exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Occupational Health and Safety is required.
• NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification.

Responsibilities

• Align HSSE goals with project objectives and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE standards.
• Collaborate with authorities to meet safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents and near misses.

• Deliver HSE training for project personnel and contractors.

• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project.
• Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency response measures. Conduct regular site inspections andaudits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
