Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering seeks a senior HSE professional to lead safety and regulatory compliance on major GCC projects. You will align HSSE goals with objectives, supervise risk management, and drive safety initiatives across the team. Requirements include a technical bachelor's degree or OH&S, NEBOSH Diploma, and 14 years of GCC experience in power/desalination or O&G.

PV project exposure is a plus. You will conduct investigations, training, drills, and audits to advance a robust safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or OH&S or related field.
• NEBOSH International Diploma in OH&S or equivalent certification.
• 14 years in power/desalination plant, O&G construction GCC experience required.
• PV project exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSSE goals align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are applied.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project.
• Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test emergency response effectiveness.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
