Job summary

GEMS Education is seeking an experienced HR professional for Recruitment, Onboarding, Compliance, and employee relations in its Dubai, UAE operations. The role covers recruitment coordination, onboarding, visas, HRIS management, policy administration, and risk mitigation aligned with local regulations and KHDA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within an educational or international setting.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE Labour Law and KHDA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
• Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment with SSC HR for teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Oversee onboarding, contracts, inductions, and pre-employment docs.
• Handle visa, travel, joining formalities with Government Relations.
• Manage HR operations, HRIS (DAX), records, and reporting.
• Administer HR policies, benefits, and statutory letters.
• Prepare HR reports; support audits and ERP initiatives.
• Coordinate KHDA/MOE licensing and stipends with Government Relations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and GEMS HR policies.
• Liaise with PRO/GR on visa and legal requirements.
• Maintain HR data accuracy and reporting.
• Act as first contact for employee relations.
• Advise on HR policies and UAE Labour Law.
• Assist investigations, counselling, and employee engagement.
• Manage separations and exit interviews.
• Provide insights to school leadership after exits.
