Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or related field.
• 2+ years in project controls, cost analysis or similar role; 5 years preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other software tools.
• Knowledge of project management principles and scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and techniques.
• Experience with accounts payable cost control and financial reporting in a project environment.
• Ability to review and audit invoices for proper coding and contractual conformity.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in construction/engineering or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems including budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
• Monitor project schedules costs and performance metrics to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions
• Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for project stakeholders
• Review and audit contractor and consultant invoices for accuracy completeness and compliance with contract terms
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure efficient project execution and financial performance
• Maintain detailed records of payments contract amendments and reimbursable expenses
• Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project controls efficiency
• Participate in regular project status meetings and provide financial insights to support decision-making
