Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the project controls function on large and complex projects. You will oversee schedules, budgeting, client relations and reporting, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong PM skills, and familiarity with Dubai construction practices. You will collaborate with diverse teams and drive innovative solutions in challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience in Dubai with local construction practices and regulations.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with RTA standards and approval processes (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement creative solutions in complex engineering projects.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercial strategies.
• Participate in negotiations.
• Lead the project controls function on a large/complex project.
• Oversee the production and maintenance of accurate project schedules.
• Assist the Project Manager in budgeting and managing incentive programs.
• Establish and maintain client relationships.
• Review and analyze project program and oversee the production of progress/performance reports.
• Review data from project automated systems.
• Participate in staffing decisions for projects.
• Track subcontractor funding alignment with work authorization and expenditures.
