Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd. seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer for Bridges and Underpasses in Dubai to supervise construction, ensure structural quality, and maintain RTA compliance on major transportation projects.

You will coordinate multi‑discipline interfaces and support the Resident Engineer with technical oversight and progress monitoring. The role requires strong infrastructure supervision experience, expertise in reinforced concrete and post‑tensioned systems, and a thorough understanding

Qualifications

Extensive experience supervising bridge and underpass construction.
Strong knowledge of RTA standards and Dubai Municipality codes.
Experience with QA/QC inspection workflows and ITPs.

Responsibilities

Assist Resident Engineer with administration and supervision of bridge, underpass, box culvert, and related civil works.
Monitor contractor performance against programmes, milestones and specifications.
Review schedules, ITPs, method statements, and technical documentation.
Supervise earthworks, concrete, structural works, waterproofing and asphalt activities.
Oversee construction of piers, abutments, walls, and deck components.
Inspect precast elements, post‑tensioned components and related structures.
Monitor bearings, expansion joints, waterproofing, and interfaces.
Verify materials against submittals and certificates; review shop drawings and RFIs.
Coordinate technical interfaces between structural, road, drainage, geotechnical, utility, and traffic disciplines.
Ensure compliance with QA/QC, NCRs, and ISO quality procedures.
