Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking a Bridge Engineer to contribute to the design and analysis of transportation structures. The role involves detailed work on bridges, underpasses and railway infrastructure, with coordination across multidisciplinary teams and BIM workflows.

Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of experience in structural design, familiarity with AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, AREMA and relevant software, and a readiness to work in a hybrid model in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in bridge, civil or structural engineering is required.
• Master's degree is preferred and chartered status is advantageous.
• Four to six years of relevant structural design experience.
• Hands-on design of bridges, underpasses or railway structures; UAE/Middle East experience is preferred.
• Ability to inspect, assess and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development and evaluation of structural design concepts.
• Perform detailed design of bridges and related infrastructure.
• Produce calculations, sketches and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams for drawing accuracy.
• Review drawings and BIM models for conformity with designs.
• Plan structural site inspections when required.
• Prepare technical reports and inspection findings.
• Develop design spreadsheets to improve calculations.
• Share knowledge and guide junior engineers.
• Communicate progress to project stakeholders.
