Confidential in Dubai, UAE seeks an experienced Travel Reservations Officer to manage flight reservations, ticketing, reissues, amendments, cancellations, and refunds using Galileo Travelport.

The ideal candidate will check availability, compare fares, verify visa and entry requirements, respond to inquiries, prepare daily sales reports, and coordinate hotels, travel insurance, and car rentals, delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a travel agency, with flight reservations and ticketing.
• Hands-on experience with Galileo (Travelport) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of airline reservation portals, fare rules, ticketing procedures, reissues, cancellations, and refunds.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized reservation systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle flight reservations, ticket issuance, reissues, amendments, cancellations, and refunds using Galileo (Travelport) and airline booking portals.
• Check flight availability, compare fares, and ensure booking accuracy and compliance with airline fare rules.
• Verify visa, entry, transit, passport validity, and other applicable travel requirements before confirming reservations.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and urgent booking requests, including outside official working hours in accordance with approved on-call arrangements.
• Prepare and submit accurate Daily Sales Reports, including ticket sales, transaction costs, commissions, profit margins, refunds, and outstanding balances, as applicable.
• Coordinate hotel bookings, travel insurance, car rentals, and other travel-related services when required.
• Maintain accurate booking records, follow up on pending requests, and ensure professional customer service.
