Jumeirah Saadiyat Island seeks a Director of Engineering to lead strategic engineering initiatives across a flagship Abu Dhabi resort. You will drive project delivery, set technical direction, and mentor teams to ensure excellence in luxury hospitality engineering.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, marketing, and sales, while delivering innovative, high-quality experiences for discerning guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering or any other relevant field.
• Master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering or any other relevant field.
• Certificate in project management.

Responsabilités

• Develop and communicate strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion and required quality.
• Allocate resources effectively to support project priorities and goals.
• Provide technical direction and guidance, ensuring best practices and modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales to align engineering with business needs.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks through project lifecycle.
• Evaluate performance of engineering teams and provide coaching and development opportunities.

• Develop and communicate strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, effectively to support project priorities and meet organizational goals.
• Provide technical direction and guidance, ensuring the use of best practices, methodologies, and technologies to drive innovation and achieve technical excellence.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, marketing, and sales, to align engineering efforts with business needs, customer requirements, and market opportunities.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with engineering projects, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate the performance of engineering teams and individual team members, provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to support professional growth and ensure high performance.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Certificate in project management
• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering or any other relevant field
• A master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering or any other relevant field
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role
