Job summary

Jumeirah Saadiyat Island is seeking a Senior Plumbing Technician to join the Engineering team on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island. You will diagnose faults, coordinate with maintenance teams, and ensure high-quality execution of plumbing tasks in a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in plumbing or related trades, knowledge of work order systems, and the ability to read basic drawings and operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing or related trades.
• Knowledge of Work Order System.
• Knowledge of high-rise building systems.
• Read and understand basic drawings.
• Ability to work on own initiative without full supervision.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults with maintenance teams.
• Respond to work orders and site inspections; report damage and propose fixes.
• Estimate time required for jobs and foresee delays.
• Report root causes and equipment faults to management; flag safety concerns.
• Provide courteous, professional responses to inquiries and maintain documentation.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Plumbing Technician to join theEngineeringteam at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

About the Job:

• Attend breakdowns, carry out diagnosis of faults and problems, work closely with Technicians in maintenance, repair, painting, or refurbishments as needed with minimal downtime to fix the issues
• Respond to work orders or room/site inspection and report any damage observed to the team leaders and propose resolution.
• Highlight problems outside remit and seek guidance and direction to resolve them
• Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management. Identify and elevate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage
• Respond to all inquiries in a courteous and professional manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner
• Ensure all work is undertaken and performed to a high-quality standard
• Ensure that all planned maintenance and training documentation is kept up to date

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant field (Carpenter, Mason, Electrician, Plumber, Painter, Refrigeration, Mechanical etc)
• Knowledge of Work Order System
• Knowledge of high-rise building systems/resorts etc. Behavioral Competencies
• Read and understand basic drawings
• Work on own initiative without full supervision or direction
