Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise the IKEA website and app in an engaging, commercial, and customer-friendly way.
- Manage homepage, landing page, campaign, and seasonal content in line with promotions and marketing priorities.
- Optimize product listing pages based on customer journey needs, commercial priorities, IKEA global guidelines, and local market relevance.
- Organize and categorize products so customers can browse, search, find, and buy with fewer barriers.
- Monitor website data, sales performance, search metrics, traffic behavior, and customer interaction trends.
- Analyze ecommerce metrics to understand how customers respond to product placement, content, navigation, and promotions.
- Coordinate weekly, monthly, and bi-monthly ecommerce reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Recommend commercial opportunities for sales steering, cross-selling, upselling, add-on products, and improved basket value.
- Work with range, SEO, SEM, marketing, and digital teams to create engaging product content and search-friendly product descriptions.
- Reflect local life-at-home knowledge in digital range presentation while maintaining the IKEA way of merchandising.
- Support online promotions by selecting commercially relevant products and improving campaign visibility.
- Work closely with global teams to align on business priorities, digital platform updates, technical developments and merchandising standards.
- Review digital merchandising performance to identify gaps in product visibility, customer navigation, add-on sales and margin contribution.
- Use insights from market trends, competition, IKEA priorities, and customer behavior to improve digital product presentation.
- Support the commercial calendar by ensuring online content, product range, and campaign areas are updated accurately and on time.
- Develop range frame options and product presentation approaches that support online sales growth.
- Improve the web and app journey by applying mobile-first, responsive, and user experience best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure digital content supports customer needs, sales goals, and brand consistency.
Ideal Profile
- High School Credential is required.
- Experience in ecommerce, web merchandising, online retail, digital channel management, or product content merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of digital merchandising methods and ecommerce trading practices.
- Good understanding of online marketing tools, website content planning, product listing pages, and campaign execution.
- Sound knowledge of IKEA business plans, commercial priorities, strategies, and product range is an advantage.
- Experience using UX design best practices, especially mobile-first and responsive design principles.
- Ability to analyze sales data, website traffic, search metrics, and customer behavior to guide merchandising decisions.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to improve conversion, add-on sales, cross-selling, and repeat visits.
- Ability to work with homepage content, landing pages, product categorization, range presentation, and digital campaigns.
