Key Responsibilities

• Support students in exploring materials, design processes, artistic techniques, and practical project work.

• Assess student work regularly and provide clear feedback that helps learners improve their creative outcomes.

Ideal Profile

• B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, QTS, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree or strong academic background in Design Technology, Art, Fine Art, Product Design, Visual Arts, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Design Technology and Art in a British curriculum or international school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of creative education, practical project work, assessment, and classroom management.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons that balance artistic creativity with structured design thinking.
• Confident in using a range of materials, tools, visual techniques, and creative learning resources.
• Understanding of inclusive teaching practice and ability to support students with different learning needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Reflective, solution‑focused, and committed to continuous professional development.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and high standards of professional practice.
• UK‑enhanced DBS, police clearance, or equivalent background check required for appointment.
