Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a seasoned Demurrage Analyst in the United Arab Emirates to issue and negotiate settlements for demurrage and other charter party claims. You will defend payable demurrage claims and handle cargo-related claims, including P&I when applicable.

In this role you will supervise and coordinate with the contracts team, review voyage plans, and maintain accurate demurrage data to support trading P&L while proactively reducing financial exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or Law; Maritime law knowledge is essential.
• Technical knowledge of vessels’ operation is an added value.

Responsibilities

• Issue and negotiate settlement of demurrage claims within deadlines.
• Defend and negotiate payable demurrage claims.
• Handle cargo-related claims including P&I when applicable.
• Direct Demurrage Analyst to receive, defend and settle demurrage and related claims.
• Collaborate with contracts to advise on lay-time and demurrage terms to reduce exposure.
