Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a chartering professional in Abu Dhabi to procure and negotiate charterparty terms for shipping deals, ensuring accuracy of all transaction terms in CTRM/Chartering systems and aligning with AGT policies. The role entails coordinating with Trading Operations, shipping operations, and brokers to schedule vessel dates and manage risk daily.

The ideal candidate has experience in chartering freight/shipping, deep knowledge of world freight demand/supply, and strong industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Business or Engineering.
• Maritime law degree preferred.
• Experience in chartering freight/shipping.
• Knowledge of global freight markets and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Procure and negotiate charterparty terms for shipping deals.
• Ensure charter terms reflect all aspects of the transaction.
• Enter transaction details into CTRM/Chartering system.
• Review open chartering positions and daily risk reports.
• Coordinate with Shipping Operations to vet vessels and resolve issues.
• Schedule vessel dates including laycans and load/discharge.
• Maintain interface with shipping companies and brokers.
