Job summary

Tanqeeb in UAE is seeking a Shipping Operations Specialist to oversee daily shipping tasks, vessel nominations and bunker procurement. You will monitor voyage efficiency and coordinate with owners, charterers and third parties.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in shipping/chartering, plus knowledge of commodities trading. Post-graduate studies in Economics or Analytics are preferred; relocation to Abu Dhabi is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years work experience in shipping/chartering
• Industry knowledge of integrated shipping
• Commodities trading knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow up on shipping operations daily
• Prepare vessel nominations and monitor bunker procurement
• Provide post-fixture support and voyage instructions
• Arrange freight/hire/demurrage collection and bunkers
• Analyze shipping data (TC, COA)
• Coordinate with owners, charterers and third parties
• Report bunkers requirements and arrange replenishment
• Ensure Bills of Lading/Manifests/Mate’s Receipts are issued timely
• Compute demurrage, detention and dead-freight
• Maintain voyage tracker with costs

Education

Post-Grad degree (preferable)

Economics/Econometrics/Statistics/Business Analytics
