Job summary

Boskalis in Abu Dhabi invites a Training Superintendent to strengthen deck crew competence and safety through state-of-the-art simulators, targeted training, and induction programs.

You will be part of the Smit Lamnalco crewing team based in Abu Dhabi, identifying talent, supporting career progression, and improving performance via audits, sea trials, and feedback to raise training standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Master’s certificate and train-the-trainer qualification required.
• 4–6 years offshore maritime operations, training or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of STCW, Flag State and Port State legislation.
• Ability to work with Operations, Technical and Crew teams and external partners.
• Commitment to safe and healthy working practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct simulator assessments for deck key crew.
• Develop, implement, and improve training, assessment, and induction programs.
• Advise on crew capability and support promotion and CoC upgrade pathways.
• Monitor and report vessel/crew performance using feedback and audits.
• Support operational excellence through vessel audits, fleet visits, and sea trials.
