Job summary

Client of Exceed IT Services seeks an experienced Data Migration Lead to drive the technical data migration workstream from Oracle EBS to SAP within a large transformation program in the UAE.

The role requires hands-on leadership for data cleansing, mapping, ETL, and reconciliation, coordinating client and partner teams, and delivering validated data and cutover readiness.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to lead and execute the technical data migration activities for a large-scale Oracle E-Business Suite EBS to SAP transformation program This is a client-side hands-on technical role not a functional SAP position The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that legacy data is properly assessed extracted cleansed transformed validated and migrated from Oracle EBS and other source systems into SAP The role requires strong experience in data cleansing data quality ETL data mapping reconciliation and migration with previous hands-on involvement in an Oracle EBS to SAP migration or transformation program

• Data Migration Leadership
• Lead the end-to-end technical data migration workstream from Oracle EBS to SAP Own the migration strategy approach execution plan migration cycles cutover activities and technical migration deliverables Coordinate migration activities between the client SAP implementation partner technical teams business data owners and other relevant stakeholders Act as the client-side technical authority for data migration and challenge implementation partners where required Define migration standards controls templates reconciliation procedures and acceptance criteria
• Data Extraction amp Transformation
• Lead and support the extraction of data from Oracle E-Business Suite EBS and other legacy systems Analyze source-system structures tables relationships and data dependencies Develop and oversee technical data mapping between Oracle EBS and SAP target structures Define and execute data transformation and conversion rules Work closely with technical teams on ETL processes migration programs interfaces scripts and data-loading activities
• Data Cleansing amp Data Quality
• Lead data profiling cleansing standardization deduplication enrichment and remediation activities Identify incomplete duplicate obsolete inconsistent and inaccurate legacy data Establish data-quality rules validation controls and measurable quality thresholds Work with business data owners to resolve data-quality issues before migration Track cleansing progress and ensure that only approved and validated data is migrated into SAP
• Migration Testing amp Reconciliation
• Plan and execute multiple migration cycles including mock migrations dress rehearsals and production migration Perform technical validation of migrated data Conduct source-to-target reconciliation covering record counts values balances master data and transactional data Investigate migration failures rejected records transformation errors and reconciliation discrepancies Maintain migration logs exception reports defect registers and remediation plans Ensure migration results meet agreed data-quality and reconciliation requirements before business sign-off
• Cutoff amp Go-Live
• Develop the data migration component of the cutover plan Define extraction freezes migration sequences dependencies validation checkpoints and rollback considerations Coordinate final extraction transformation loading reconciliation and sign-off during go-live Provide technical support during hypercare and resolve post-migration data issues
• Strong experience in data cleansing, data quality, ETL, data mapping, reconciliation, and migration.Previous hands-on involvement in an Oracle EBS to SAP migration or transformation program.
