Job summary

ECS | Enterprise Change Specialists is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist to lead data migration projects for SAP modules (SD, CS, PM, MM, FICO). You will plan, execute, and manage data migration efforts, leveraging LSMW, ABAP scripts, SQL, and advanced Excel techniques.

The role requires 6–8 years of SAP data migration experience, strong data governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Hyderabad/Bangalore work location with IST timing expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP data migration across SD/CS/PM/MM/FICO modules.
• Strong data mapping, cleansing and validation capabilities.
• Proficient in LSMW and other SAP migration tools.
• Proficient in SQL and database concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and KNIME is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist. The candidate should have a strong experience in SAP data migration processes, particularly for the SD (Sales and Distribution), CS (Customer Service), PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Materials Management), and FICO (Finance and Controlling) modules. This role involves planning, executing, and managing complex data migration projects as part of SAP implementations or system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data migration strategies for SAP SD, SM, PM, MM, and FICO modules
• Analyze source data from legacy systems and map it to SAP data structures
• Design and create data migration templates for various SAP modules using MS Excel
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and features for data cleansing, transformation, and validation
• Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
• Configure and use SAP data migration tools such as LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and SAP Data uploading process
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities using Excel and other available tools
• Develop custom programs or scripts for data conversion when necessary
• Conduct thorough testing of migrated data, including integration testing
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to ensure data meets business requirements
• Create and maintain documentation for data migration processes and mappings
• Provide training and support to the client team on data migration activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all migrated modules
• Adhere to data privacy and security standards during the migration process
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in SAP data migration projects
• Strong knowledge of SAP data structures and tables for SD, CS, PM, MM, and FICO modules
• Expertise in using SAP data migration tools (e.g., LSMW, SAP BDC, other custom developments)
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database systems
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Technical Skills:

• SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA
• ABAP programming (for data migration scripts) is plus
• SAP LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)
• SQL and database management
• Excel (advanced level for data manipulation)
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for project documentation

Additional Skills:

• Experience with SAP HANA migration is a plus
• Knowledge of industry-specific data requirements (e.g., manufacturing, sales, material management)
• Familiarity with data governance principles
• Experience with data quality management tools

NOTE- Knowledge and experience in Knime Analytics Platform is preferable.
